Why do you support this? A company is following the rule and regs., and yet you what to stop them. So you want more government control.

More government control? Quite the opposite - I want the power to the people - the people don't want this thing - every poll reflects that - it is government control that gave away the $4M to them in the 1st place. It is government control that is allowing them to pursue their goals even with the detrimental effects to our health and well-being. How is me wanting to have clean air and water, and children without autism (due to mercury - which my sister HAS) wanting more government control?

This company will be sitting a few feet above sea level drilling and extracting through OUR aquifer - that doesn't bother you? Our fishing and shellfish industries will be threatened with extinction - that doesn't bother you?

The rules and regs are WRONG. Just like before 1964 it was wrong to initiate hate crimes against blacks - even though the law was such that you could. You could say then that someone committing such acts were simply abiding by the law of the land.

There should be zero mercury emissions in any area within 10 square miles of schools and residential neighborhoods - not to mention between a river and an ocean. And mercury is just the tip of the iceberg. Benzene, chlorine, cadmium, and a whole host of other neurotoxins and poisons. One Wal-Mart offers about 160 jobs - we don't need all of this risk in order to have minimal gains.

Plus - only about 25% of those jobs or less will be local - the other 75% are such specialized positions, that Titan will be bringing in specialists. Why is this worth it to you?
