Good post. The local media here is closely tight with the political establishment, and regularly appoints itself propaganda mouthpiece for their wishes. WID is usually at the center of it - with Titan being a prime example.

Alot of it is the type of scum that politics attracts; some of it is that politics corrupts otherwise good people; and the rest is that most people who vote are f***ing stupid.

Fun Discussion Between Councilman Neil Anderson & Myself...

In response to my open letter to the city council, Neil Anderson broke the rules and actually responded to me. Here it is:_________________________________________________________________________________Mr. McCoy,Good to hear from you...very uplifting stuff.Your position on the issues mentioned below is noted and appreciated. Baseball - I believe we have a fiduciary duty once elected to explore the potential of any and all economic development opportunities exhausting every possible angle…See More

Well said - I would agree with you. People didn't so much vote against incorporation as they did vote against Radewicz's one-man band trying to manhandle the situation for his own little experiment. I think the good citizens of…

How about this... Have King Saffo and Queen Renee host the show. Realtors and developers can call in and kiss their asses for a couple hrs and tell them how wonderful they are. The King can politely tell us (as he laughs) how he is bending the city…

I just sent him an email and indicated I will not listen to the Big Talker again until they return back to what a majority of this community wants,,, conservative talk radio. Maybe if they lose enough of the market share, they will heed this…

Wilmington Rants Radio Cancelled

Well it appears that not only Sea-Comm Media, the owner of The Big Talker FM, was for sale, it's values and integrity were as well. Wilmington's only local talk radio show that honestly looked at the inside of all things local government, that the local media was too afraid to report on, is now gone. Jake Russell, new Program Director at the Talker said that they have decided to go in a direction less "hateful and emotional" - whatever the hell that means. Basically, it's the changeover from a…See More

NCCCC - Highlights, Summary, and a Look Ahead

The core heavy lifting from the conference was generated during the well constructed work sessions in which attendees could take their choice, or simply bounce around any of the six discussion panels which were:

The Future of Education

The Role of Citizens in Politics and Government

Responsible Monetary and Fiscal Policy

The Proper Role of Government

NC Law and the NC Citizen

Restoring Conservative Values

Several action plans were developed in each… Continue

NCCCC - Steve Moore Enlightens Us

What a weekend! It's hard to believe that so much conservative thought was passed along and discussed in only two days. There is simply too much good information and ideas than I can simply recount, but several items really stood out.

Steve Moore, the well known contributor to both Fox News and The Wall Street Journal took the podium late Friday night to share his thoughts and feedback on the importance of acting out a conservative agenda. Several key facts really stood out to me,… Continue

NCCCC - Issues & Criticism

It's been an eventful day here at the NCCCC. Conservatives from all over the state and elsewhere are packing in to the work sessions dealing with specific issues important to them. From the future of education to the citizen's role in politics and government; each work session features a round table discussion panel which solicits questions, concerns, comments, and feedback from attendees.

From my perspective, there still seems to be somewhat of a disconnect between the different… Continue

Hi Satyricon, I posted today on Star News forum, replying to a great letter to the editor titled, Obama Factor. Thank you for the nice responses. It seems quite a few libs post also, which is fine with me. More challenging!
I saw your ning site and came in to take a look. Nice job! I belong to another ning site called PatriotsHeart. Also very informative.
Hopefully we can all band together and discuss solutions to the problems we are facing in our beloved country. I am so happy that I found more like minded, thinking people here in Wilmington. The Big Talker 106.3 has some get togethers during the week, I would like to look into. I would also like to hear more about the Tea Party to be held here in town. Also there is going to be a conservative convention of some sort, I believe the end of May here in town. You can find more info on this on Big Talker home page. Nice to find you, LD
