Seen in Wilmington: A message to YOU - not the messenger

Parked in downtown Wilmington was an older Jeep Wrangler - perhaps from the 1984-86 era, seen below:

As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. Could my eyes have deceived me? Did I really see a gas-loving Jeep from the good ol days of big blocks and thirsty fuel systems, plastered (yes - the doors to the vehicle featured the same message) with dire warnings of global warming, and pleas for green energy? 

The best part has to be the final dictate: "Hybrid cars/mass transit ONLY - PLEASE no gasaholics". 

This really paints a pretty picture for the state of affairs right now. This is the typical statist mindset - "I'm going to tell you what to do, and try and have my opinions legislated so you are forced to comply - but don't think for a second that any of it applies to me".

How can this guy take himself seriously? He actually rides around in his gas-sucking Jeep ordering people to use mass transit and hybrid cars ONLY; and shuns "gasaholics". Does he fall under this category? I wonder what his explanation would be? 

This has become accepted practice for the left today - par for the course. We see it everyday coming out of Washington. Laws governing how we can and can't do EVERYTHING. But do they apply to Congress? Hell no. See: Obamacare. They're even telling us what kind of lightbulbs we can and can't purchase - and that was legislation headlined by a Republican. Statism knows no political party - it's a tyrannical mindset. The power-hungry in the ruling class advocates for it; as does the shallow-minded drones among the populace who yearn for iron-fisted rule over them so they won't have to think for themselves.

That's fine if they could simply have it without it affecting those of us who love liberty, hard work, individuality, and personal responsibility - but unfortunately, the cornerstone of their beliefs is that their opinions must be shoved down everyone's throat by absolute force.
