Im just glad my tax money is going to 3 officers to attend the meetings now because Mr Barfield is scared. With all the crime that goes on around town its good to know 3 less officers are on the streets as they sit for 3 hrs watching the village idiots talk in a meeting. Why doesn't Jason just threaten to take Brian out in the parking lot?

I think it was 4 officers actually. Even more insane. Can you believe this sh*t? There is a clear effort to demonize and destroy Berger - and no one is calling them out for it. Thompson issued physical threats against a duly elected mayor - and nothing. But Berger writes a facebook post and all hell has broken loose.

Is that a fact or just rumor about the 4 officers? If its fact people should be outraged at this BS. As far as Thompson goes yes it is quite hypocritical. It was actually turned into a joke. I'll be honest with you, I think the general population thinks they are ALL idiots here and no one respects them. They don't hear what the real working people actually thinks of politicians because they are in their tight little circle of losers and think they are liked. If I were any of them I would be ashamed to be out in public but then if you have no character you have no shame. At least they have a distraction this week as the QUEEN comes to town. Another big fat joke in itself of the crap that goes on around here.

"Now we have a new post, and Mr. Berger is not going to live up to it," Thompson said. "I am just at a loss."
Chairman Jonathan Barfield was disappointed by the latest post and said it is clear that Berger does not want to find a way to work together.
"It is really scary. We had four deputies at our meeting yesterday. Commissioners are worried if we're safe," Barfield said. "I am praying for him."

Like the 40 cops at the Wilmington annexation hearing 2 years ago. A complete waste to make some politians feel important.

yes good old jason wakes up one day and decides its time to pay attention to his family and give up the attention hound lifestyle. I guess we will never really know now will we. How will we ever survive without caring people of the community like him looking out for our best interest?

When Jason firsy took office many years ago he had the right intention but it didn't take him long to figure out the good old boy system of Wilmington... they all do it though. To his credit they are ALL dumb. You name me ONE politician here that you would want running your family business and could trust. Sometimes I turn on those meetings and it is comical seeing these ass clowns talk round and round about nothing. Padgett is the most pathetic one, just an old woman that has no life other than playing big shot on a glorified PTA (city council). They are in in because they have no life, no real friends (other than each other and a few select hacks that follow them around) and want to use the system for their benefits.
Wilmington needs its own "Biggest Loser" reality show and its nothing to do with weight. Just have the entire council and commisioners on it.
